Since 1964 Capt. Jonny has lived in and fished the Florida Keys. A licensed captain for 17 years he has local knowledge of some of the sweetest flats fishing spots off Key Largo, Islamorada, through Florida Bay, and out to Flamingo in Everglades National Park. Near-shore waters of the Atlantic are also filled with some of Capt. Jonny’s favorite spots. The foremost boat of flats fisherman, especially in the Florida Keys, Silver Fish Charter’s Hewes 16 is the ideal flats boat. Powered with a 115 HP Yamaha outboard it is rigged efficiently with a back rest for comfort. Dry and stable it features plenty of storage for gear. Speaking of gear the boat is fitted with a push poll for poling the flats, state-of-the-art fish finder, artificial and live bait, 10 – 20 lb. spin plug, a host of cool fly tackle…virtually everything we’ll need for a memorable day of awesome Florida Keys flats fishing.
