Wildlife Abounds!
Imagine: the bright blush of a roseate spoonbill as it lights off a mangrove branch; cool but clumsy pelicans as they splash down in their familiar water landing or dive after lunch; a great blue heron wading through clear shallow waters; an Eagle Ray flying through the air before gracefully gliding back into the sea; a bottlenose dolphin riding the boat’s wake and peering curiously at us as we meander along; and maybe...a gentle giant; a manatee as she glides silently below the surface. Florida Keys crystal clear waters especially at mid-day are idyllic for viewing fish and studying the eco-systems of the Florida Keys.

Four major marine ecosystems offer up a colorful assortment of nature viewing: the mangroves, coral reefs, our delicate sea grass beds, and sponge beds.
Bird watching - Bring your binoculars and journal. Ibis, egret, osprey, gulls and rare frigate birds are often spied, especially at low tide!
Manatee and Dolphin Rendezvous - Sleek and agile, Atlantic bottlenose dolphins may breach the surface, water droplets glistening as they fly off the dolphins’ athletic muscular bodies. |

Frolicking and hunting pods can be watched from a close but unobtrusive distance as we quietly experience them going about their routine of play, fish, play. Giant yet graceful, Atlantic manatees meander to beat of their own ocean drummer. Mother and calf may cruise by for a peek or a lone sunbather may be spotted lazing in the afternoon sunshine.
